NEWS FROM THE PORCH, JUNE 2019
In an otherwise relaxed summer for us, we have a couple of firsts. We are playing at The Beetroot, Beer and Blues Festival at the Tattingstone Wheatsheaf in June and we have a Sunday afternoon slot at the Richmond Place Club in Hereford in August.
We are also delighted to be returning to the Upton Blues Festival in July, playing once again in the courtyard of The Swan Hotel on the banks of the River Severn.
Meanwhile, some news about Midweek Blues in Town. Sadly, the Duke of York in Ipswich is closing at the end of June. Midweek Blues in Town will move to a new home in The Stables Bar at The Halberd Inn, 15 Northgate Street in Ipswich.
However, in an interesting twist of fate, a late change of line-up means that Back Porch will have the honour of playing the last Midweek Blues gig to be held at The Duke on Wednesday 19th June. The venue has been immensely supportive over the last year and a half so we hope to see lots of people there to give Steve and Kay a storming send-off!
More news to come next month ~ we hope to see you all soon.
Mike, Jon, Steve and Toni.
